Village Water Plant earns award
The Village of Perry Water Treatment Plant has received the 2016 Water System of the Year award from the New York Rural Water Association. Chief Operator Jeff Drain will receive the award at the organization's annual conference in May.
The association complimented employees Jeff Drain Will Stowell, Michael Mott and Ray Bzduch for their ability to maximize the return on ratepayers money by doing many upgrades and projects in house. The award also recognized the village water systems ability to meet sampling and reporting standards.
"We congratulate the Village on a well run system and for the support elected officials demonstrate to the professional operators who provide 'Quality on tap' to your customers said Pat Scalera, CEO of the New York Rural Water Association.
