The Village of Perry is seeking applications for a Full-Time, Deputy Village Clerk.
The Village of Perry is seeking applications for a Full-Time, Deputy Village Clerk. The duties of this position include:
- General office duties including water and sewer billing, collecting payments, and bank deposits
- Payroll processing and reporting
- Deputy registrar of vital statistics
- Secretarial duties for several boards and committees
- Grant and project support to the Village Clerk and Village Administrator
The ideal candidate will possess good customer service skills, a familiarity with computers, particularly Microsoft Office applications, and experience in an office setting.
Minimum qualifications include:
- High School Diploma
- Associate’s degree in business or a related field preferred
SALARY: Starting rate is $17.50 per hour, 6-month increase based on qualifications and job performance
BENEFITS: Health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, NYS Retirement
SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week Monday through Friday, 8:30AM-5:00PM (includes some night meetings)
