Parks Master Plan

Over the course of the fall and winter of 2020-2021, the Parks Committee supported the development of a Parks Master Plan. The focus of the planning effort was the creation of a cohesive network of parks assets and the development of an investment strategy to reinforce park strengths. The process included the seating and facilitation of a plan steering committee, who focused on several areas of plan development including:

• Familiarization with the planning context at hand in the Village of Perry, including an understanding of relevant elements of the comprehensive plan, project specific plans, and the prior parks master plan;
• Engaging with the public to gain a deeper understanding into perceived conditions at the parks and identify gaps in potential facilities, policies, and programs;
• Developing a prioritized list of park improvements;
• Identifying opportunities and strategies for implementation

At a meeting of the Board of Trustees on March 15, 2021, a resolution was adopted approving the Parks Master Plan.
