PERRY, NY—March 21, 2017—The Village of Perry will soon be putting up a new group of community banners sized for the 22 new light poles installed last year as part of the Main Street Improvement Project. These new banners will look familiar to those who know the original Jackets, Farms, Lake, Culture, Parks, and Market banners that debuted on Main Street in 2011. The original set of banners was created by a team effort of the Holiday Lights Committee with leadership from Caroline Dueppengeisser, and they will now be used in other locations around the village.

The new banners are also the product of a team effort. The Village is grateful for the contributions of everyone involved, and would like to recognize:

  • Perry Main Street Association for organizing and managing the project
  • littleHive, with support from Olive & Ink and the Warsaw Pennysaver, for design work
  • Image Out Graphics for producing the new banners
  • American Classic Outfitters for donating sewing services that allowed the team to produce the banners locally
  • Perry Rotary for funding the project.

Images of the new banners can be seen online on the Perry Main Street Association website at iloveperryny.com or visit Main Street to see them this Spring.

Later in the season watch for flags, flowers, and other amenities like benches and bike racks, to be added to the Main Street streetscape.
