FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Anne Humphrey, Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee, 585-237-3015, achumphrey@aol.com

The Village of Perry is in the process of updating its 1969 Comprehensive Plan.  As part of this planning process, the Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee has developed a quick, simple survey that it is placing online with hard copies of the survey also available.  The survey results will be used to gauge public opinion about important issues in Perry.

The Comprehensive Plan will outline a vision for Perry’s future as well as provide a set of specific goals and objectives.  “The Steering Committee is seeking input from as many Perry residents and business owners as possible,” says committee chair Anne Humphrey.  She says the Plan, scheduled to be adopted in 2015, will help the Committee and the Village Board set policies that will shape the growth and qualify of life in Perry.

Questions on the survey range from demographics to opinions about development and spending.  All individual responses will be kept confidential and the results will only be reported as a compilation.

The link to the survey is posted on the village website at www.villageofperry.com.

If you are unable to complete the survey online, the Committee will also make hard copies available at Village of Perry office, Perry Public Library, Burlingham Books or by calling 585-237-2216.  Please contact the Village Clerk or the Steering Committee for more information via email at steeringcommittee@aol.com.  The Committee’s outreach process will continue for the next several months with Public Workshops and focus groups.  Details of these will be advertised and announced on the village website at www.villageofperry.com.
