Source of Water

Silver Lake is the water source for the Village of Perry.

Silver Lake is a glacially formed lake, approximately two miles long, one mile wide and about forty feet deep at its deepest points.

The Village of Perry Water Plant produces water for the Village of Perry, the Town of Perry, a portion of Letchworth State Park and separate water districts for the Town of Castile (the Gardeau Water district and the Silver Lake Institute Water district). Mt. Morris also draws from Silver Lake for their village's water source which is processed through a separate plant.

Updated every two minutes, the image below shows the water level at the dam on Federal Street. A larger image is available.
